Congratulations to the 2023 winner, Cassidy Post, from Alpine, WY with her piece "Mountain Mama"!

Hey everyone, my name is Cassidy Post and I am an artist from Alpine, Wyoming. I earned my BFA at the University of Wyoming, and then taught K-12 art for a year in Pine Bluffs, WY. Currently, I am volunteering in Thailand to teach kids English! I love being outdoors and traveling, and have a deep appreciation for National Parks and wildlife.

I am so humbled to have been chosen as the winner of this year’s competition, and am inspired to keep creating and capturing my love of the mountain west and all things wild. Life in the art world can definitely feel lonely or unrealistic sometimes, so it was really validating and gratifying for me just to actually see that there are real people out there who actually like my art!? I’m really excited to be a part of the Wyoming art community and hope to get involved more. Also very thankful for my Dad who filled in for me at the event and has always encouraged me to stick with art and do what I love. Thank you all!
